Led a program to assess effectiveness, design organizational structures, improve efficiency, optimize workflows, and reduce backlogs. L&F Project Management led a project to streamline operational processes, reduce or eliminate redundancies, and enhance efficiencies to improve patient service delivery. Key objectives for the three main functional areas included: 1. Functional Area #1: Managed Care Structure and Overall Operations - We evaluated and provided recommendations on the organizational chart to improve coordination and efficiencies across the agency. We defined and clarified Quality Improvement and Quality Assurance for all processes throughout this project. We also assessed compliance with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Final Rule and with the Mental Health Plan. Our firm advised and assisted with the planning, launch, integration, and execution of the California Advancing and Innovating Medi-Cal (CalAIM) program. Throughout our entire tenure, we assisted with the recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and transition support of key positions, such as the Director of Managed Care. 2. Functional Area #2: Office of Coordinated Care - Member Services were a vital aspect of the project. We assessed compliance, created a staffing structure, organized provider directories, designed a grievance procedure, and formulated a work plan for revising policies & procedures. To better understand and improve the patient experience, we evaluated the Behavioral Health Access Center and its care line. 3. Functional Area #3: Utilization Management (UM) - Our company collaborated with leads to establish their UM committee and charter. Throughout the process, UM policies and procedures were evaluated and developed. We reviewed and evaluated existing work plans and provided recommendations. For this engagement, we developed a client flow diagram to assess and improve the patient journey.
